Thank you for joining us for Web 2.0 Expo San Francisco. Below is information to help you get the most out of your time at the conference.
Registration and check-in for attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and media is located in the Level 1 lobby.
Be sure to look for the $25 gift card from DonorsChoose.org in your badge holder when you check in at our Registration Desk. As part of our way of giving back to the community, we’ve teamed up with this great Web 2.0 charity to supply gift cards to every Web 2.0 Expo attendee.
DonorsChoose.org is an award-winning online charity. Public school teachers across the country post classroom project ideas, and citizen philanthropists choose which ones to fund. Redeem the gift card you receive on a classroom project that inspires you, and brings students a step closer to the learning they deserve. DonorsChoose.org delivers the materials to the school, and sends you photos and thank-you letters from the classroom you help.
Add a networking ribbon (or two or three) to your badge and get conversations started.
Use the online Attendee Directory to quickly and easily contact, meet, and network with other attendees before, during, and after the event. If you haven't joined the Attendee Directory, we encourage you to do so and get the conversation started with other Web 2.0 Expo-goers today.
Create your own Web 2.0 Expo agenda using the personal scheduler function. Mark the presentations and events you want to attend by clicking on the calendar icon next to each listing on the website. You can then access it by clicking on "personal schedule" link on your Attendee Directory dashboard or in the Schedule View page.
Have a question or comment for a speaker? Post them in the "Add New Comment" field found at the bottom of any session detail page. Please keep in mind that your comments will be public.
New to our San Francisco show this year, Startup Showcase brings together 30 young startups, hundreds of potential users and a couple of high-profile investors. Web 2.0 Expo attendees and a panel of judges from the investor community will have 50 minutes to visit the demos and listen to the pitches. As they walk around, attendees will vote on their favorite demos. At the end of the hour, the judges will announce their top picks along with the audience favorite. These winning startups will then each give a pitch and have an on-stage conversation with the judges.
We've lined up parties and networking events for you to attend each night of our show. Check out our Events page for info on Ignite @ Web 2.0 Expo, our Expo Hall Booth Crawl, and other community events.
Visit 70+ exhibitors displaying the latest in Web 2.0 tools and technologies in the Expo Hall.
The Expo Hall will also feature a a Solutions Showcase Theater where you can hear a series of 20-minute presentations, product demos and real world case studies from sponsors and exhibitors.
Make sure to pick up a Solutions Theater Passport and get it stamped by attending at least three Web 2.0 Solutions Theater sessions between Tuesday March 29 and Wednesday March 30. If you are one of the first 25 people each day to bring your stamped passport to the O’Reilly bookstore at Booth 701, you'll receive a gift card for a free download of any O'Reilly eBook titles.
