David S. Rose
CEO, Angelsoft

David S. Rose is a serial entrepreneur, Inc. 500 CEO and active angel investor who has funded over 80 start-up companies. He is the founder and Chairman of New York Angels (the largest angel group on the east coast), Managing Partner of Rose Tech Ventures (an early stage venture fund), and Chairman of Egret Capital Partners (a middle market private equity firm). He runs a technology incubator in New York, and was nicknamed ‘The Pitch Coach’ by BusinessWeek magazine for his training of entrepreneurs seeking funding from VCs and angel investors.

In 2009, he joined artificial intelligence pioneer Ray Kurzweil and X Prize founder Peter Diamandis as an associate founder of Singularity University at NASA Ames Research Campus, where he chairs the Finance, Entrepreneurship and Economics track.

David has been involved in the development of New York’s Silicon Alley technology community for over 25 years, including working with the first online data services in the 1970s, and founding a personal computer training company in the 1980s, a wireless data information network in the 1990s, and an international financial investing platform in the 2000s.

He is currently CEO of Angelsoft, which operates the official global collaboration system powering over 500 early stage angel investment groups and venture funds in 50 countries. He serves on the boards of directors of KoolSpan, Pond5, Comixology, Por ti Familia, Magnify Networks and the New York Tech MeetUp.

David received a BA from Yale, an MBA from Columbia and a D.Eng. (hc) from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is an Associate Fellow of Pierson College at Yale, a member of the Entrepreneurship Advisory Boards of Columbia Business School and Yale University, and was named Mentor of the Year by the Stern School of Business at NYU.
