Christopher Keene is Vice President for Cloud Computing Solutions at VMware. At VMware, he is responsible for delivering architectures and vertical solutions that drive enterprise adoption of cloud computing and big data.
Previously, he was CEO of WaveMaker Software, an open source cloud development platform backed by a 20,000-strong developer community. Before that, he was the founder and CEO of NASDAQ-listed Persistence Software, the company that patented real-time, distributed data management.
Chris created the first Electronic Medical Records application for the PC – Medaid – in 1981. He has also held management positions at McKinsey & Company and Hewlett Packard.
Chris is a passionate entrepreneur who has founded four companies and taught MBA programs as an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at INSEAD. He graduated with honors from Stanford’s Mathematical Sciences program and has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
