Lenn Pryor joined Nokia in November 2007 as Vice President, Product Marketing for the Services and Software division at Nokia.
Lenn comes to Nokia with 13 years of Internet, desktop software, and mobile marketing and product development experience. Previously, Lenn held leadership roles at industry leadering companies such as Microsoft, Skype, and eBay.
Most recently Lenn led eBay’s global mobile product management, engineering, and operations in San Jose, CA. Lenn joined eBay from London, UK after the company’s acquisition of Skype. As an early member of the Skype team Lenn worked in a variety of roles, but was best known for his work leading the company’s platform strategy and developer and partner programs.
During Lenn’s eight years with Microsoft, he worked in a variety of roles in developer relations, Windows Mobile, and Platform Strategy. During his final role as Director of Platform Strategy and Evangelism, Lenn created a ground breaking conversational marketing tool called Channel 9 which brought a new level of transparency and dialogue between Microsoft and its developer community. Channel 9 has been widely written about in books and press covering social media and marketing.
Lenn started his career in 1994 as a designer and creative director building Web sites for some of the earliest Web pioneers such as AOL and MCI. In 1995, he co-founded Ironlight Digital, a Web consulting firm based in San Francisco, CA.
Lenn attended George Mason University in Fairfax, VA from 1990-1994 and studied German Language and Literature and Design Arts. He holds no degrees.
