Shankar Iyer

Shankar Iyer brings more than 15 years of industry experience to his current role as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for WebEX Communications’ WebEX Connect platform. In this position, Mr. Iyer is responsible for the creation of collaborative WebEx Connect applications, and management of the WebEx Connect partner ecosystem. Prior to joining WebEx, Mr. Iyer was the Executive Vice President of Strategy, Marketing, and Products for GemStone Systems. He also founded and managed the technology and strategy consulting firm, Orcheid, and was Vice President of Products and Strategy at Tibco Software.

Mr. Iyer began his career at Adobe Systems, where he held senior marketing, engineering management, and architecture positions. Shankar Iyer holds a master of business administration degree with honors from Santa Clara University, a master of science degree in engineering from Ohio State University, and a bachelor of technology degree from IIT Bombay.
