William White

William White
Senior Engineer, Yahoo!

Web site

William is a Senior Engineer at the Yahoo! Media Innovation Group where he is responsible for developing social media applications that delight and inspire. He has co-authored research papers on audio content similarity analysis for ISMIR and ACM Multimedia. His most recent work has been focused on building OpenSocial applications which empower users to discover and share the open media web.

Prior to joining Yahoo! in 2005, William spent 5 years as a Technical Consultant developing enterprise portal applications across the US and Europe for clients such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Chevron and Seagate Technology. William holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from McGill University and studied Entrepreneurship at the London School of Economics.
