Sanjay Uppal is Vice President of Product Marketing for Citrix’s Application Networking Group. He is responsible for all aspects of product marketing including building awareness and sales preference for Citrix NetScaler, WANScaler and Access Gateway product lines, defining product strategy, creating positioning, pricing and driving product content. Sanjay joined Citrix in mid 2007 through the acquisition of Caymas where he was President and CEO. He has eighteen years of experience in bringing innovative networking products to market and growing successful business organizations. Prior to Caymas, Sanjay was Vice President at Webvan Inc. Webvan was the first large-scale online retailer with last mile delivery, and Sanjay engineered and deployed the technology infrastructure, including extending the marketing of the shopping experience to mobile appliances. Sanjay spent the first years of his career at Hewlett-Packard starting as a networking software engineer, on through leading the Internet Infrastructure Division as General Manager. He is credited with initiating and rapidly growing Internet infrastructure as a new and profitable business for HP by delivering innovative Messaging, Metering and Content Delivery products to Enterprises and Service Providers. Sanjay holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India, an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a Master’s in Management of Technology from Stanford University.
