Birds of a Feather Sessions

Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions provide face to face exposure to those interested in the same projects and concepts. BoFs can be organized for individual projects or broader topics, but they are entirely up to you. We post your topic online and onsite and provide the space and time. You provide the engaging topic.

Please note that audio/visual equipment, including projection equipment, will not be available for BoF sessions. If you require any audio/visual equipment, you may request services from Event Technology Services by completing the Audio Visual Order form (PDF) and sending the form to Event Technology Services.

Types of BoFs

There are two types of BoFs at Web 2.0 Expo this year. Regular BoFs which will happen in the evening on Thursday and all day Friday and BoF Lunches which happen during lunch each day of the conference.

How do I participate?

• Regular BoFs: Check the BoF board on Level 2 of Moscone West to see the pre-scheduled BoFs or fill in any blank space on the BOF board to lead your own. Note: the BoF board will be at the Marriott on Thursday after sessions have ended.
• Lunch BoFs: Write your topic on a table in the Expo Hall by 11:00am to have a table pre-designated with the topic of your choice. Then after you grab lunch, claim your table and welcome others.
