In May Google introduced WebM and VP8, a new open-source video
container and codec, to the world. These represent a significant step
forward for the open-source video movement. In this session we'll
discuss why WebM is important, compare it to other commercial
solutions like MPEG-4 and h.264, and discuss viability, adoption and
the challenges therein.
