Flash wasn’t invented for you. Web standards weren’t either. In fact, neither design nor technology matter because of designers and technologists. These two disciplines have converged for users – or better yet, for people. In an ever shifting landscape of programming languages, web browsers, mobile platforms, viral marketing strategies and paradigm shifts, we must remind ourselves that we are making it for people out there… not for us. So how do we do that? How do we stay experts in an industry where nothing stays the same? Join Jamie as he dives into the zen of our trade and how you can make informed decisions on providing the best experience possible for the people you’re trying to reach.
As Associate Technical Director, Jamie plays a lead role in Big Spaceship’s data flow and user experience process, building the neon green boxes that lay the groundwork for achieving what was once thought impossible. He experiments in telling stories artistically through user interface. A graduate from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Jamie is also a Part-Time Lecturer at the Design + Technology program at Parsons. He dreams in code.
