RIA developers increasingly are required to connect front end applications to back end systems. While this task can appear daunting, it is actually far simpler than many developers imagine. This 3 hour course will be 100% hands on development work and cover many protocols, back end systems and service configurations. Even if you have little programming experience, you will be able to complete most of these labs.
Covered in the course will be specific technology stacks such as PHP, Flex, Adobe AIR, Flash, AMF, SOAP, WSDL, REST (architectural style), HTTP, XML, Java and J2EE. Architecturally, developers will also learn best practices including try-catch loops, fault detection, user interface feedback and more.
Attendees will be handed a CD to install on their own computers and are free to take their work home after the session as reference material. Even if you have minimal programming experience, this course is formatted to be completed by most anyone.
