Joe Stump has over ten years experience in web and software development. As Lead Architect for Digg.com, Joe is responsible for the quality of code produced for the site. He is the decision maker for coding standards and works to identify, recommend and select the right technologies for Digg.
Prior to working at Digg, he was the Director of IT at eNotes.com where he was the architect for a content management system capable of handling content from numerous sources and providers including simple database records, XML/XSLT and PDF documents. Prior to that he was a Web Developer/Systems Administrator for Care2.com, Inc.
Joe has authored pieces for O’Reilly’s ONLAMP.com and has spoken at FOWA, SXSW, MySQL Conference and PHP-Con, to name a few.
Joe is an expert in the LAMP stack and graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a BA in Computer Information Systems.
