Complimentary Shuttle Bus

Web 2.0 Expo is pleased to offer afternoon shuttle service from the Javits Convention Center to participating hotels. Shuttles will run in 30min intervals on the following schedule:

• Monday – Thursday, September 15 – 18
  3:30pm – 7:30pm
• Friday, September 19
  1:30pm – 5:30pm

Please note: There are three routes servicing different hotels. Please be sure to board the correct bus. Route numbers will be located in the window of all shuttle buses. Shuttle service is available to Web 2.0 Expo attendees only. Registration badge required.

Wheelchair accessible transportation is available during hours of operation. Call 800-523-4046 to arrange for transportation. Please allow 30 minutes for arrival.

Registration Hours

Registration for attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and media is located on the North Concourse of the Javits Center.

• Tuesday: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Wednesday: 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Thursday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Friday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Expo Hall hours

The Expo Hall will feature more then 100 exhibitors showcasing the latest Web 2.0 products and services. The Expo Hall is located in Hall 3A.

Wireless Network

Wired and wireless connectivity is provided by InteropNet, Interop’s event network. The SSID is Web2.0 and the WPA password is Web2.0WPA.

You’re welcome and encouraged to use your own wireless equipment to access our network throughout the Javits Center – except for the Expo Hall. We are unfortunately unable to provide technical support or assistance with wireless connectivity.

Please take note that each user on the network is responsible for his or her own security. As this is an open network, you are advised to disable any open ports or shares you do not want exposed. For privacy, we recommend that you use a secure tunnel through a trusted server when accessing network services, such as email or web sites.

Video Recording

If you would like to record any session or shoot video on the show floor, please note you must have explicit and direct permission from the speaker/subject prior to recording.

Join the Web 2.0 Expo Social Network

Half the value of attending Web 2.0 Expo is getting as much out of networking in the lobby as you do from the learning in the sessions. Join the Web 2.0 Expo social network where attendees can meet and connect.

Tag Your Table at Lunch

Look for sign ups outside of Hall 1A each day. Tag a table with a topic of interest, grab your lunch, and dive into discussion over lunch with other attendees.

After Hours at Web 2.0 Expo

There are lots of evening events happening each day after the conference. Check them all out and plan to mingle, meet and network while you are here.

Bring Your Water Bottle

Web 2.0 Expo New York will have water coolers distributed throughout the Javits Center and we encourage everyone to bring water bottles from home to use during the conference.

Web 2.0 Expo NY Backchannel

The Web 2.0 Expo NY backchannel is a place to chat with the community about what's going on in the tracks and onsite at the show. There are two ways to get on the backchannel, which comes to you via Six Groups Livecommunity:

1. Through Crowdvine, the conference social network. On any Crowdvine page, click "Livestream" in the gray bar at the very top of the page. You'll see a stream of all the current backchannel posts for the whole conference. Select the track you want to follow, and/or add a comment in the "Say something" box.

2. Through Twitter, use one of these #w2e Twitter tags for the relevant track:
