Kendall has an extensive background and experience in executive level e-commerce and web sales. In addition to a history of successfully launching e-commerce sites, Kendalls web sales strategies have served over 3 million consumer, corporate and government customers. His expertise also includes web advertising, online customer acquisition and merchandising.
Kendall Fargo was Founder and CEO of StepUp Commerce, Inc., a leading local shopping services company that helps retailers use the Internet to display their in-store products. Intuit, Inc. acquired StepUp in 2006, at which time Kendall took on the role of GM, where he now manages operations of Internet Services for Small Businesses.
Prior to his roles at Intuit and StepUp, Kendall was the VP of Internet and Enterprise Business at Handspring, Inc. from 2003-2004. He successfully managed the company's e-commerce business and established Handsprings enterprise and government business strategies. Before joining Handspring, Kendall was an original employee at CyberSource Corporation, where he was General Manager of web sales and marketing, until he helped Beyond.com split off as a separate company.
Kendall went on to serve as VP of Corporate Operations at Beyond.com, and was responsible for all sales, production, customer service, direct marketing, order processing and demand fulfillment. As an original member of the founding team, Kendall was a key figure in Beyond.com's early growth, and implemented Beyond.com's first Internet sales department. Kendall was instrumental in the negotiations of electronic software delivery contracts with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for $120 million, and the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for $49.5 million.
