Over the past ten years, peer-to-peer (P2P) networks and services have become part of the fabric of today's Internet. Popular awareness of P2P began with the Napster music filesharing service in the late 90s, and now new P2P services like BitTorrent and Joost are being used to distribute video and other media. However, many other internet services, even the foundations of TCP/IP and the Internet itself, are based on P2P concepts and frameworks. In addition to online, there are also offline parallels for organizing people and systems around P2P. Join us to find out more about the future of P2P and the unstoppable power of leaderless systems and organizations.
